In alignment with the Northwestern Mutual Foundation, Paul aims to improve the lives of children and families in need through financial support, volunteerism, thought leadership and collaboration with community partners. He stands behind finding a cure for pediatric cancer, partnering with organizations such as the Starlight Children's Foundation, a nonprofit organization that seeks to improve hospital experiences for children and chronically ill teenagers, and Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF), a childhood cancer foundation dedicated to raising funds for research into new treatments and cures for all children battling cancer. These organizations are dedicated to alleviating the uncertainty and isolation felt by families facing childhood cancer through support, education, and services.
Paul is heavily involved with the Hermosa Beach Education Foundation (HBEF). The HBEF is the fund-raising organization for Hermosa Beach public schools. Operated entirely by volunteers, the focus of HBEF is to meet the school district's educational needs by funding instructional programs in science, technology, foreign language and the arts. Paul sponsors and participates in the "Hearts of Hermosa" annual fundraiser, which replenishes funds for vital educational programs and strengthen the relationship between residents and the two-school district.
Paul is also on the Board of the Hermosa Beach Little League, serving as Commisioner for the Rookie Division. He is currently coaching both of his sons' little league teams.
Paul is a member of the Manhattan Country Club in Manhattan Beach, CA.
Paul is a Theta Chi Fraternity Alumn and is a member of the UCLA Alumni Association.
"For me giving back is not only fun but also rewarding. My family is passionate about supporting our local public education. We believe that quality education is not only a vital part of our beach communities, but it improves lives for generations to come."
